Life Lately

So... oops. I haven't written on here in a bit. And I totally missed the hand-lettering column on Saturday. I don't have many excuses other than I didn't have anything ready, and when I could've done it Sunday, I was spending ALL day in the hospital. Now before you worry, it's actually for a great reason: I'm finally an aunt! Though Karen didn't end up having her baby until early Monday morning, I now have a niece! Which is so exciting. I'm just going to leave it at that because I can't really share much more, but I'm excited to be working on the birth announcements for her! I'm going to be hand-lettering/designing them, and I'm having a lot of fun with it. I'll post the finished product sometime soon when it's okay for me to.

So, I'm sorry I missed the column this past Saturday, but once I could get around to it, it just seemed too late, and I decided to just skip it altogether. I promise to have something, even if it's just a peek into my sketchbook, this weekend! In the meantime, you can enjoy some bits from my instagram! It's crazy to think I already head back to Arizona in a few days. I'm excited to see Nicholas (and Penny now!) though, but I know I'll miss my family a lot. And this time I won't be back until August, yikes! Deep breaths... Really though, I'm excited to get back and to start life down there for real and just get into a good swing of things. I'll post more on that later. I hope your week is going great!
