A Hike at Aman Park

Hello everyone. I hope your week is going swimmingly. I don't think I've ever said that before... swimmingly. It is a thing, right? Anyway, this post is a week behind pretty much, but I wanted to share my trip to Aman Park last week with Nicholas and Penny. Aman Park is a really beautiful getaway about 10 minutes away from where we live. Once inside on the trails, you don't feel like you're near a city at all.

Aman Park is beautiful and full of lush trees, a winding river, and a couple bridges; one of which is really neat. We love hiking there, and I wish I did it more. I think next year I'll try to make it a habit to go there at least once a week to hike. It really does wonders for me mentally, and physically, which is really nice.

Nicholas and I actually got our engagement pictures done here two weeks ago. We got to see them this week, so I'll be posting those photos in a day or two as well. We were on the opposite side of the park for most of our pictures, except some by the bridge, and it was so interesting to see how different the colors were. Everything past the bridge was really golden like the photos above, but where we got our pictures taken before, it was really bright green still. It's a really beautiful place, so if you're local, I encourage you to check it out. It's a hidden gem in this city. It's very diverse all year as well, so it's nice to go multiple times to see what it looks like with snow or in warmer weather. This definitely won't be the last time you see pictures of me here.

We had a really nice time hiking that day. Other than for our engagement shoot, it was my first time hiking there this year, and it was really good to go back. It is one of my favorite places to be, and I look forward to spending more time there next year. As for today, it's my day off from watching my niece and I'm fighting a small cold, so I'm just hanging around the house mostly. We made a quick trip to Biggby and Target to get a few things, but otherwise I'll probably spend my day relaxing. As I said before, I'll be back in a couple days with our engagement photos post, so be sure to come back for that! Have a great Wednesday.
